The RSS100-R Reversing Aid/Obstacle Detection System contains 4 flush-mounted bumper sensors which radiate ultrasonic beams covering the area behind the vehicle. The beams are reflected by obstructions and objects behind the vehicle and re-enter the sensors. The reflected beam information is processed and the distance from the obstruction is translated into audible signals. The shorter the distance the more intense the audio signal. The system is activated when reverse gear is engaged and senses up to 5.5 feet away.
